Short update and video

Sorry its been awhile since the last updateSweetheart is still doing well, not much has changed.  Jess is still in Michigan and has had a wonderful time so far.  Jess will be home Thursday so the blog will be updated more often once she is home.  Having 6 Grey's right now all to myself I am ready for her to be home.  Sweetheart is still eating well and having a great time playing with the other dogs.  She will probably go in for a bandage change towards the end of this week and I will have pics posted of that.

  2. Think this is the best video yet. So nice to see her acting like a normal dog.

  3. I love this video! My new pup is a digger too!

It breaks my heart that Sweetie will go to a forever home and we won't see her anymore! But can you imagine what's going through her mind? "Wow, this is what life was really supposed to be like!! I'm so glad I was rescued!!"

I adore all the music you use, but I can't find that Bacon song you used a while back. Where did you find it?

  4. Now that's what a Happy Greyhound SHOULD look like. Great video! Really cool to see her so happy and playing!

OK -- so who is the earth-mover with the muzzle on? I cracked up over that. My Booker, that we just lost in May this year, was an earth mover. brought back some great memories!

  5. Hello all. I became aware of Sweetheart when I was shopping at Mann's Best Friend in S. OKC. I went home and read Sweetheart's entire blog. I was so touched by this little girl and the efforts, I wanted to do something to help too. I decided to decorate a 3 gal bucket along with Sweetheart's story & picture and try to get a bucket full of change. I don't know how much I've been able to collect, but it's getting VERY heavy. I'll bring (or wheel in) the bucket to Sweetheart at Mann's Best Friend during Yappy Hour, Oct 29.

If you're in the OKC area and haven't experienced Yappy Hour, come check it out. There's always treats for people & dogs. Yappy Hour on Oct 29 is specially dedicated to Sweetheart!

  6. Jennifer: The earth mover is Cleo. She loves to dig, hence the holes littering our yard. She is silly, she will get all excited and dig and dig and dig then she will take off running all wild around the yard.

Melissa: Aww, that is so nice of you to do that for Sweetheart, how neat. Thank you so much.

I have been so touched by all the kinds donations of money, food, Flip, etc from all over. It makes me so happy that there are so many good people in this world!

  7. I haven't checked in for a while and all I can say is WOW! I love that Sweetheart since the first time I layed eyes on her. When Jim and I went to see her in Prague on August 25th, the Sweetheart we saw didn't look anything like what we get to see on here. She looks like a totally different dog! We just love love that Sweetheart. She is just soooo happy, and she even acted happy just 12 days after being rescued from her horrifying hell hole. Rock on y'all!! Fantabulous work to all!!!! :) ~Angela~
Oh yeah, I should get to meet you at the race on the 9th. I'm so excited! I'm on the team!
